Dynamic Communication therapy was founded by Jessica Cuevas. Her experience spans across 8 years in the fields of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and speech-language pathology in both early intervention and school settings. Jessica's mission is to offer bilingual and culturally sensitive services that meet the specific needs of each client.

Jessica completed her first Bachelor's degree in Human Development from the University of California, San Diego. After working as an ABA therapist for a few years, she discovered her calling in Speech-Language Pathology. Subsequently, she pursued a second Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders from Utah State University, followed by a Master's degree from the University of St. Augustine. Her professional experience encompasses both home health and schools. However, it's working with little ones and engaging in floor time therapy where Jessica feels most comfortable.
About
We are a privately owned practice dedicated to offering individualized home-based therapy services. For now, our focus is on providing pediatric services, but our ultimate goal is to extend our services to adult clients. At Dynamic Communication Therapy, our approach to treatment combines play therapy, parent coaching, and evidence-based practice to enhance the language and speech skills of individuals. Our services are flexible and can be rendered in various settings including, homes, community spaces, daycares, and preschools. We can also provide services during the summer break to supplement school services.
Services
We provide services in the natural home environment of the individual to facilitate skill generalization. We aim to provide the highest quality of service using a blend of play therapy, evidence-based practices, parent coaching, and the values of the clients and caregiver(s). Services are offered within in Dixon, Ca and surrounding areas.
Speech Sound Disorders
Speech sound disorders, also known as articulation disorders or phonological disorders, are conditions that affect a person's ability to produce and articulate speech sounds correctly. These disorders can result in difficulties with speech intelligibility and can significantly impact communication.
Receptive & Expressive Language
Receptive language skills: Receptive language skills refer to the ability to understand and comprehend spoken or
written language.
Expressive language skills: These skills involve a person's ability to convey their thoughts, ideas, and feelings through spoken or written language. Expressive language includes vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, and the ability to formulate and articulate coherent messages.

Stuttering
A fluency disorder, also known as a stuttering disorder, is a speech disorder characterized by disruptions in the normal flow or rhythm of speech.
Social Language Disorders
Social language disorders are characterized by persistent difficulties with the use of verbal and nonverbal language for social purposes. Primary difficulties may be in social interaction, social understanding, pragmatics, language processing, or any combination of the above.

Early intervention (EI) is the process of providing services and supports to infants, toddlers, and their families when a child has, or is at risk for, a developmental delay, disability, or health condition that may affect typical development and learning. Augmentative & Alternative Communication
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) refers to techniques that assist individuals who have difficulty with speaking or understanding language, including written and verbal communication. AAC is part of a larger category called assistive technology- which includes any tools used to enhance the daily lives of individuals with disabilities and limitations.
Rates
Private Pay
Dynamic Communication Therapy is an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. At this time, we are a private pay practice only. Payment is always due at the time of service. Currently, we are accepting the following forms of payment: cash, check, credit, debit, and Health Savings Account (HSA)/Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards.

The rate for therapy services is
$124 for 50 minutes,
$90 for 30 minutes
Assessments
Comprehensive evaluations are available in the areas of: speech (articulation, phonology), fluency (stuttering), receptive language and expressive language.
This is typically a 3-5 hour service that includes a visit, report and review of findings and proposed next steps.

The rate for a speech and language assessment is $127/hr.

Dynamic Communication Therapy is a North Bay Regional Center vendor that offers Early Intervention (ages 0-3) services. Get in touch with your regional center service coordinator for to be referred to us.

Contact us to set up a free 20 minute phone consultation to discuss concerns and determine whether further evaluation and intervention are needed.

A comprehensive evaluation includes assessment, clinical observation, and caregiver interview. You will receive a detailed report of findings and discuss an individualized treatment plan.

An individualized treatment plan will be designed with the recommended frequency and duration of sessions.
